Drumming has allowed me to travel the world, meet incredible people, and achieve things I never thought possible. None of this would have been possible without Mark. I was honored to be named one of the Top 40 Young Drummers of the Year for five consecutive years, all thanks to his encouragement and leadership.
I also had the privilege of touring the USA twice on jazz tours, and it was Mark’s teaching that made those experiences possible. I’ve played in countless school, university, and professional big bands with confidence, all due to the solid foundation I built under his guidance.
Starting my lessons with Mark at the age of 7, I eventually progressed to diploma level. Even after all these years, Mark continues to teach me new techniques and expand my skills. I was also fortunate enough to teach in schools on Mark’s behalf, which not only gave me invaluable teaching experience but also deepened my appreciation for his ability to draw the best out of every student.
Looking back, I can honestly say that without Mark’s mentorship over the past 15 years, I wouldn’t be the drummer—or the person—I am today. He is truly exceptional, and I would recommend him to any drummer, whether beginner or professional.

What People Say ……..
Mark has been teaching my son for the past 3 years, and I only have great things to say. Mark’s approach has allowed him to not only improve technically, but to also enjoy drumming more as he learns. It has resulted in him getting an offer for an arts college based on his drumming ability.

My son began his lessons with Mark at grade 3 level, and under his expert guidance, he has made remarkable progress. By the time he completed his lessons, he had successfully passed his Dip LCM, earned a place at a Junior Conservatoire to study drums, and was selected for the top 40 Young Drummers of the Year for four consecutive years. It's clear that Mark’s teaching played a pivotal role in my son's achievements, and I truly believe he wouldn't have reached this level without Mark’s dedication and expertise. Highly recommended—five stars!"
